Tasting recommendations
The key to a perfect tasting experience is, first and foremost, the choice of the glass with the right shape. Another key factor is the serving temperature, which must be 9 to 11°C for white and sparkling wines and 16 to 22°C for red wines.
Visual observation: the wine is to be observed in the glass set against a white backdrop. You can appreciate the limpidity and its color in the midst of the explosion of hues and the fine brilliance. In order to get a hint of its body and alcoholic warmth, make it swirl and then wait for the liquid to descend forming tears along the glass (the slower and closer they are, the richer the wine is in glycerol and alcohol).
Nose: raise the glass to your nose and smell... As soon as the alcohol prevails, stop and muse on its intensity also taking note of its aromatic pleasance, cleanness and balance.
Palate: swallow a small sip equal to the quantity of a tablespoon and then a second sip right after to thoroughly assess the body, intensity and complex balance of the alcohol, acids and tannins (you will not find tannins in white wines).
